Over 450 of the county's former industrial sites are described in the recently published Third Edition of NIAG's gazetteer: A Guide to the Industrial Heritage of Northamptonshire. Click here to find out how to obtain a copy.

Our suggestions for the best industrial sites to visit in the county have been arranged into two groups: those that warrant a long visit, e.g. a few hours and those that can only be seen from a public highway or footpath.

We have also added a list of those industrial sites in the county that have been lost since NIAG's gazetteer was first published in 2001.
